Walnut Whale Cutting Board
Our hardwood cutting boards are functional while boasting natural beauty. Each board is unique and is designed for every day use. This Walnut cutting board is approximately 24" x 9.5" x .5".
The Walnut Whale is a replica of the first cutting board I ever made. Dubbed the “Walnut Whale” by my husband and son, the original is still the most used board in my kitchen. Designed to have a soft, fluid shape, the Walnut Whale is easy to hold and looks beautiful hanging up.
Cutting boards are made from all natural hard woods with no stains or artificial coloring. Boards are finished with the highest quality, food grade cutting board oil and wax.

PLEASE NOTE
Each board is hand made with real wood. Each piece of wood has it’s own grain and imperfections. Voids are filled with Starbond adhesives ca glue, which is also food safe when cured. Each piece of wood will vary and actual color might vary slightly due to computer resolution.
For questions regarding nut allergies, we recommend doing research on wood toxicity levels. It is my understanding that very few woods are actually toxic in and of themselves, but what a great number of woods do have the potential to do is cause allergic reactions in sensitive individuals. This risk for finished wood projects is greatly lessened (but not eliminated) with the application of a food-safe finish. (https://www.wood-database.com/wood-articles/wood-allergies-and-toxicity/)
CARE
To prolong the life of the finish, only rinse with cool or lukewarm water and never wash in the dishwasher or use any chemicals on the board. Never soak your board in water and always allow plenty of time to dry before storing. We cannot replace a board that has been run through the dishwasher. Condition your board monthly with food grade cutting board oil. Do not apply any other oil other than mineral oil or cutting board oil. Olive oil and other oils will go rancid if applied to a cutting board.
