Cutting Board Class
In this two-day cutting board class, you will learn how to create a cutting board from strips of milled lumber, tour a professional, production wood shop, learn woodworking terminology, and gain a general knowledge of the purpose of a jointer, planer, table saw, and router.
Safety glasses, mask, hearing protection and all tools will be provided. You will be required to sign a hold harmless agreement prior to the beginning of class. Students are required to attend both sessions.
*Two people per ticket are invited to attend, taking home one custom board. If you want to make two cutting boards, you will need to purchases TWO spaces*
From glue up to finishing, each student will take part in creating a custom designed, heirloom quality, hand-made cutting board to keep or gift. Use as a housewarming, teacher, birthday, anniversary or hostess gift. Students will also receive a 2oz bottle of Walrus Oil Cutting Board Oil to take home.
Your custom cutting board will be made of all natural hardwoods with no stains or artificial colors. It can be used daily for cutting bread, vegetables, or meats, or used on special occasion as an appetizer or charcuterie board.
Made with only the finest quality hardwoods, if cared for, this board will last not only your lifetime, but can be passed down to future generations.
